    Heredity and Environment

Skills and behaviours are not inherited outright. Environment has a role to play in this. What seems to be inherited is the ability to learn certain skills and behaviours. In the formation if an individual, heredity and environment become completely mixed.

    Environment is a good Teacher

Parents provide heredity as well as the environment. They have the double influence on an individual's personality. Child spends its early childhood with the parents, grand parents or close relatives. The formation of the personality of a child is almost complete at the age of five. It is parents duty and privilege to have a positive influence on their child's personality in a meaningful way. If the parents could create a suitable environment for the child to absorb the values of life, the child will grow into a balanced personality.
